Didn't you just joined that new 'small' company. If not for Motorola, for the love of your new Employer you should buy an Android phone.

Indeed. I suspect you are right that there will be an Android phone in my future, either the CLIQ or something else.

I had a T616 that faithfully served me for years (many more years than the average cell phone life these days) until I upgraded to an iPhone. I know, the enemy, but I just haven't gotten all excited about the Android phones yet and I'm worried the apps market for it will scatter as more and more handsets with diverse feature sets come out (by supporting many, it may fall victim to the Cisco mindset....it will be in all markets, but be the master of none).

I'm not sure Google would consider the iPhone to be the enemy. Google makes its money from web services. iPhone changed the game for mobile internet use, and is a huge source of mobile traffic.

I'm concerned about fragmentation of the Android software market too. It happened to JavaME: give phone manufacturers the ability to make incompatible changes and they seem compelled to do so, even if it hurts them in the long run.
